P53
P53 is a complete ecosystem for pathologists and medical students. The hardest part is the system for accepting, storing and rapidly opening 2GB+ TIFF/SVS whole-slide image files in the browser: files are uploaded in chunks, then processed into a pyramidal tile format so that the OpenSeadragon deep-zoom engine can — much like Google Maps — zoom seamlessly down to microscopic level. Beyond that, the platform consists of a systematically classified library of disease cases, a live quiz game and a tiered cloud storage subscription. Three independent applications (the public site, the admin panel and the backend) run around a single NestJS server.
